a sexy little cafe-Croisette

Have you finish exploring Bangsar food?
You'll never imagine there is a small cafe hiding up there...
"a sexy little cafe-Croisette"
I guess why the owner put the word sexy is because the taste and the presentation of the food are sexy enough to capture your taste bud!!! It is located at level 3 of Cascadium Condominum and few minutes walking distance from Bangsar Shopping Centre
no worries...the guard of Cascadium Condo will be there to help your way to Croisette Cafe...=)
It was my first visit here to uncover a new cafe in Bangsar...

Croisette cafe is all about Organic! A cozy & lovely little cafe, unpretentious, serving bistro food, French inspired & ORGANIC from soups to gourmet desserts.
As you can see the colour concept of this cafe is simple yet brilliant where they give a hint of redness from the flower or probably the dress from the owner to lightened up the whole cafe!!!

A Japanese magazine editor was having her food review here...kawaii neh!!! =)

Spotted some review done by magazine, press...
and not forgetting a review done by Bangsar Babe (a well-known food blogger)

food with wine how sexy is that right?

Croisetta Cafe gave me a warm feeling just like at home! They had frames compiled with memories of friends and family dining here. The owner of Croisetta Cafe which is Chef Pierre and Michelle always welcoming their own friends to gather around in their small cafe! Look at the right frame which was loaded with choices from their menu...gosh....salivating!!!

now can you spot some pinch of red and green colour here?

this is the view from Croisette Cafe's window, where you can actually have a mini BBQ party out there...

alright finish the environment part
now get into some french cuisine...
well...simple chalk board menu which nowadays lots of cafes using it!

starting with
.
.
.
wild mushroom soup
RM13.20
I have to say this is superb for a start as it is different from other mushroom soup that I've tasted! This is so much different because it's almost 90percent fresh mushroom blend while others might use powder as the soup base!! A bit of drizle of the cream to make the soup smoother. So this is not so fattening. The crunchy toasted bread crumbs added a special chemistry to flavor up the taste!

ROTIZZA Margarita
RM10.50
A great idea from the chef to have a combination of roti canai plus pizza!!!
The edges of pizza base was so crispy with cheese and margarita sauce topping...
and chef added some homemade pistou sauce (green colour) on top to give a richer taste. Pistou is a cold sauce made from cloves of garlic, fresh basil, and olive oil. Chef claimed that he used this sauce for some other dishes as well...

Duck Confit Fr
RM30.80
Duck confit is a French dish made with the leg of the duck. This is something like Chinese Wax Duck. The confit is prepared in a centuries-old process of preservation that consists of salt curing a piece of meat (generally goose, duck, or pork) and then poaching it in its own fat. So it might taste a bit salty due to the process of making this confit.

This is a classic recipe where the chef will fry or grill the legs in a bit of the fat until they are well-browned and crisp and use more of the fat to roast some potatoes and garlic as an accompaniment. The potatoes roasted in duck fat to accompany the crisped-up confit.

Beef Bourguignon, red wine Org
RM28.60
Bourguignon is a well known traditional French recipe. It is a stew prepared with beef braised in red wine, traditionally red Burgundy, and beef broth, generally flavoured with garlic, onions and a bouquet garni, with pearl onions and mushrooms added towards the end of cooking. I believe is the wine lightened up the taste so much!love it...=P

Duck Breast Raspberry sauce
RM32.00
Raspberries are the perfect compliment-sweet and tangy juxtaposed with the meat's smooth rich flavor.
The importance of this dish is not to overcook the duck breast where it locks the juiciness of duck breast. Some might faced paranoid about eating pinkish meat but don't worry it goes well with the raspberry sauce...very appetizing!

***My Best Part***
DESSERT!!!!!
One of the reason I like dessert the most because it looks like a piece of art and sometimes I'll stare it for sometime before having a bite....sound silly right? XD hahahaha....All I have to say is...they are always too beautiful to eat!!! I don't wish to destroy the artwork....
tempting!!!!
Bavarois Raspberry/Mango
RM11.00
Bavarois is the French name for Bavarian cream, it is a delicate cream dessert with a Crème Anglaise base, and then aerated with whipped cream or yogurt, egg whites and various flavourings such as fruit purée, chocolate, coffee, or liqueurs before being set in the refrigerator with gelatin.
from the top is a layer of raspberry then followed by mango with crunchy crumbles as base..
The classic, authentic recipes for Bavarois contain no egg whites. They are basically a crème anglaise that has been stabilized by some gelatin and given a rich, creamy texture with the addition of lightly whipped cream. I love this as it's not too sweet and the sweet and sour taste blend well with Croisetta's secret recipe crumbles!!perfect~

Chocolate Orange Parfait
RM12.00
Parfait is a French word literally meaning "perfect" which decribe a kind of frozen dessert. This is a frozen dessert made of sugar syrup, egg, and cream. Chef pick his own desirable chocolate which goes well with his own recipe..What you see here is a stripe of orange peel as topping but when I scoop my way into the smooth texture...surprise surprise!!crunchy orange peel among those smooth texture...yummy!!!great dessert....just a small suggestion from me...maybe can use dark chocolate so that it won't be too sweet..but so far the sweetness still considerable here...

sweet couple Michelle and Chef Pierre-the owner of Croisette Cafe

Thanks to Michelle and Chef Pierre for sharing me the origin and authentic taste of french cuisine!!! It's to see people like them who tried their best to protect the original taste from the traditional French cuisine!
In short I love the food and it's worth every single penny here because
the main purpose of Croisette Cafe is to share the best food with the least price!!!
must try!!!
